First Baptist Church is a caring community of Christians who want to
share the good news of Jesus Christ with those in our community, in the Southwest, across the nation and around the world. Where do you fit in bringing God's love to the nations? We believe in making disciples who make disciples. Come and be a part of FBC "Reaching Our World!"
ALWAYS:
- PRAY - for our missionaries, our people group, persecuted church, our projects, IMB hotline (1-800-395-PRAY)
- WRITE - our missionaries (see security guidelines for email)
- GIVE - 3 annual offerings (Annie Armstrong, Lottie Moon, Harry P. Stagg) and anytime
- VOLUNTEER - participate in a one-time event or commit to a regularly occuring event
- EVANGELIZE - share the gospel with everyone you meet!
- READ - missionary and evangelist biographies - Check out our local library. Read your Bible to learn about God's global plan.

Local and Global Missions
The Missions Committee is planning a 2010 trip to Thailand. Because of the great risk and the great sacrifice required to accomplish a successful overseas mission, FBC Socorro asks that participants fill out an application. To download the trip application, select the following link.

You would take off a week of work for a mission trip, right? Why not use that week to serve your own community! Join up with the 27 North Carolinians to share God's love and truth with Socorro's young families.
- Saturday: Pre-Registration at homes with children
- Sunday Evening: 4th Annual Mission Fest
- Weekdays...
- Morning: Prayerwalking
- Afternoon: VBS in the Parks
- Evening: VBS at our Church + Parenting Class
We need...
- Hosts for each of the 6 families & their kids (see bulletin board at church)
- provide beds&/or space for sleeping bags
- provide breakfasts
- provide your hospitality
- VBS teachers, art, drama, craft, music leaders
- Advertising/Pre-registering
- Meals: We need people to help provide lunch for the NC team
- Prayerwalk leaders (you need to know Socorro on foot)
