The C.A.R.E (Christians Actively Reaching Everyone) Ministry meet each Monday. Each Monday evening at 6:30pm, a group of people will meet to choose a ministry task to complete as a family, in pairs or individually, such as visit the sick, write a letter to a missionary, pray for the efficacy of this ministry, distribute information to Socorro residents about our church's ministries, or surveying Socorro residents for their spiritual interest. Come out and use your unique spiritual gifts and skills to fulfill the Great Commission - to make disciples, to obey the Great Commandment - to love God and our neighbors and to fulfill our church's mission - to be a caring community of Christians. Ladies, come out and be blessed by the Beth Moore study called "Esther: It's Tough Being a Woman". You can choose to attend at either 2pm or 6:30pm on the following Thursdays:

We want to invite all of Socorro to attend Easter Sunday's morning service with us! Help us distribute invitations, a simple door hanger and say a silent prayer for that household. We need 50 volunteers to hang 2000 invitations on Saturday, March 27th and Saturday, April 3 from 9:30 am to noon.

A Rummage Sale is set for May 1st in the courtyard of First Baptist. This sale is a fundraiser for the India 2011 Mission trip. If you have items that you wish to donate, please contact the church office at 835-0041 or any member of the Missions Committee.

Destination - Socorro, June 19-26, 2010

Do you want to learn how to incorporate mission work into your every day life? Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday, the Women's Missionary Union meet in Emma's classroom at 9:30am for mission focus, bible study and prayer for missionaries all over the world. Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University starts on Wednesday, January 13th at 6pm. It is a program that teaches you how to beat debt, build wealth and keep your own economy thriving. Come out and be blessed.

Does you child or grandchild need prayer? Do you have a burden to pray for them as they deal with school, college or other challenges? Or do you fear for the children of this community? Any woman desiring to pray for a child is welcome to join us in the Fellowship Hall every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month at 10am. Ever found yourself at the end of your rope? Come spend some time with other moms to laugh, learn and live, not just survive these years! The Witt's End Mom's Group will meet every 2nd and 4th Thursday at Jodie Owen's home at 10am. See Miriam, Jodie or Jenny Farmer for directions.

Youth Group meets every Thursday at 7pm at Youth Minister James' home. The current study is "You're next" by Greg Stier. If you need more information, contact Youth Minister James at the church office, 835-0041.

The church office has the movie Fireproof. If anyone would like to see it, come by the church office.
